Classic opera in Mullingar

On Sunday March  6th., 2011 , in the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar, the Mullingar Choral Society’s 100 voiced choir, supported by full orchestra, and guest soloists will present a truly memorable choral extravaganza of  great opera classics. Highlights will include Easter Hymn from Cavalleria Rusticana, March of the Toreadors from Carmen, Triumphal March from Aida, Casta Diva from Norma  – a thrilling programme of 27 celebrated musical compositions. Definitely a date to mark in your diary, and those of your friends. This concert promises to be one of those special events which characterises all that is best about Mullingar.

One of Mullingar’s longest established cultural institutions,Mullingar Choral Society is a community non profit making choir reckoned to be the largest in the country. It reflects in a very positive way an energy and enthusiasm drawn from the local community and demonstrates a level of excellence of which Mullingar Town can be justifiably proud.

The Mullingar Chamber of Commerce is delighted to associate with the Choral Society and asks all members to support the success of its concert through their attendance, display of posters, or any other appropriate measures.
