International Exposure for Irish Midlands Tourism.

The Midlands is starting to become more popular as a destination for overseas tourists and gains good exposure this month in the largest two overseas markets. Belvedere House Gardens and Park the recent winner of the Midlands Gateway Outstanding Business award will feature on an upcoming episode of BBC2’s Antiques Road Trip to be broadcast next Tuesday 18th October at 5.15pm on BBC2. This very popular show has a viewing audience of 2.5 million people.

Belvedere simultaneously is featuring in the American reality series Big Break Ireland on the Golf Channel now being broadcast. The show was shot at the K Club and Belvedere in May of this year.

Neil Gibbons head of Tourism Ireland says

 Publicity worth an estimated $12 million will be generated as a result of Ireland’s inclusion in the Golf Channel’s popular reality show Big Break, which launched on September 20 and is running for ten weeks, reaching 182 million golf fans around the US.

Working with Mid Ireland Tourism Belvedere House has secured vital coverage in the Tourism Ireland overseas U.S. vacation planner guide for 2012. Capitalising on the recent visit to the Irish Midlands of U.S. President Barrack Obama the campaign features editorial and advertising highlighting the Midlands of Ireland as a destination. The print run for this publication is 175,000 guides distributed at all the top consumer shows in the U.S. and the guide also has a continuous on line presence.
