National Criterium Cycle Race – Friday 29th June

The re-scheduled National Criterium Cycle Championship 2012 will be held in Mullingar Town Centre on Friday next 29th June from approx 6.30pm and will involve  traffic restrictions around the town for the duration of the races. The Gardai and Lakeside Wheelers volunteers will from 5.30pm start to prepare the race circuit and traffic restrictions around the town centre route will be in force from 6.30pm until approximately 10pm.

The race circuit will take riders from Oliver Plunkett Street via Dominick Street, turning at Coppollas down Grove   Street  and across Blackhall Carpark leading to the Jail Hill, then up Mount  Street and back intoOliver Plunkett Street. Traffic diversions and restrictions will apply on all  approach roads around the race circuit, while a one way system (for eastbound  traffic) will operate along Dominick  Street on the Post Office side of the street.
