“Partner or Patron” – Mullingar St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2013

The St.Patrick’s Day Parade group is getting going in good time this year in preparation for the Ireland Gathering 2013. This represents a major opportunity for the Town to attract visitors to the Town on St. Patrick’s Weekend Friday15th to Monday 18th March 2013.

The Committee is asking local businesses and individuals whether they want to be a “Partner or Patron” of the Parade. “We recognise the difficulty businesses are feeling in these times. Cash donations may simply not be feasible for many”, says Tom Griffith of the Committee. “However businesses may prefer to provide us with some other valuable form of support. Whether that means they could afford us a weekly hour of work by a staff member. Or it could be to provide some promotional activity for us, any marketing material or online promotion for us. Or maybe they could suggest setting up a small fund-raiser event in their premises. Literally every little bit helps. Alternatively a straightforward cash donation may be their preference.

Either ways the Parade will be going ahead again in 2013. The size and scale of our event will depend on the level of support we manage to generate between now and then. The support we’ve got in Mullingar Town has been excellent in other years making the Mullingar Parade one the largest provincial parades outside of the main cities. Our main aim is to make full use of the Ireland Gathering in 2013 and really get the thing going for future years.”
