Chamber to Showcase Mullingar’s Top Venues this Summer – May BBQ Press Release

Anyone who has lived and worked in Australia knows just how the Ozzies have mastered the art of mixing business with pleasure. It’s the norm for business people down under to get together after office hours and let their hair down; at corporate beach parties, staff barbecues and the like. They have perfected the joy of a “work hard play hard” way of life.

So Mullingar Chamber has decided to tap into that concept this Summer by showcasing the famous pubs of Mullingar through a series of Business Networking barbecues.

Obviously in Mullingar it’s not possible to replicate a sunny beach party. But what we do have right here in town is a superb range of pubs, many of which have excellent outdoor areas. Venues which also offer top class food and drink in a relaxed setting of fun and great entertainment.

“Our idea is a fairly simple one”, says Tom Griffith of Mullingar Chamber. “All work and no play makes life a little dull.  Summer is now finally back around after a long tough Winter. Even the hard-working business owners and managers of the town need to get out every now and again and blow off some steam and what we need is a fresh new focal point for us all to get together and share our collective experience of today’s challenging business environment. In the process we’d like to support our local pubs.

So yes it is business networking for business people, but no there is no serious business agenda, Just a quick beer and a burger and a bit of a chat. Plus it’s open to non-members of the Chamber. A great chance to get out from behind our lap-tops and back to social networking the old-fashioned way, in the flesh!”

The first barbecue in the Summer business networking series is on this Thursday 30th May in Danny Byrnes at 6:00pm. If this idea appeals to you and your staff please book by email to: events@mullingarchamber.ie
