MidlandsIreland.ie Best in Business Awards Finalists Announced

Midlands Gateway Chamber is proud to announce the Finalists in the third annual MidlandsIreland.ie Best in Business Awards.  This year’s Business Awards Presentation will take place in the Tullamore Court Hotel, Co. Offaly on Friday 28th June starting at 7.15pm.   These awards honour those who are excelling in various business categories throughout the four Midland Counties of Laois, Offaly, Westmeath and Longford.
Mr. John Humphries, President of the Midlands Gateway Chamber said ‘The categories were extremely competitive this year. It is great to see such a large number of entries in each of the categories, particularly in the Emerging New Business. In current economic situations it is great to see business people coming up with new innovative ideas”.

This practical briefing session will give insights and practical tips about financing and managing your new or existing business.   Bobby Kerr will share his background experiences and motivations and provide useful tips around financing and running your business. The event will also provide information on Micro Finance Ireland (government backed loan agency lending to the microenterprise business sector).

Microfinance Ireland (MFI) has been established to deliver the Governments Microenterprise Loan Fund.  This fund forms part of a suite of financial schemes provided through the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation to assist businesses.  Microfinance Ireland’s objective is to provide additional lending to start-up, newly established or growing microenterprises which have commercially viable proposals but do not meet conventional risk criteria applied by commercial banks.

In order to meet a growing demand for information about franchising Westmeath County Enterprise Board, The Ulster Bank and the Irish Franchise Association have come together to host an evening seminar entitled
