Winners: Best Christmas Shop Front / Window Display Competition

Cute and Christmassy has won the top spot for the Mullingar Chamber Christmas window competition.

Fagan’s Toymaster on Pearse Street was one of the first Christmas windows to appear in the town, bringing delight to children who stopped by the bright yellow window frames to stare in at the snow and reindeers and all the latest toys.

“Their window display suits the shop. It is just super and brings a smile to your face. Santa is there, snow, Christmas trees and cuddly toys. When we were walking through the town looking at all the windows,  there were  children outside Fagan’s, their little faces and hands pressed up to the window and they were just so delighted to be looking in at the soft toy animals in the window. That was the point of the competition, that Christmas windows help to make coming into Mullingar to shop special,” explains Pat Whelan, Chamber President.

“Fagan’s have also proved that looking after your customer is a wonderful way to compete with online shopping, with Christmas books filled with special gifts that they put away safely for their customers, allowing them to pay for them over the weeks,” said Pat.

To celebrate winning the Christmas window competition, John Fagan presented Breda Ballesty, Jenny Grimes and Carol Glennon with a bottle of champagne to congratulate them and thank them for all their hard work.
