Cycle Against Suicide 2015

Cycle Against Suicide is an initiative started by Irish entrepreneur, Jim Breen, as a result of his appearance on RTE’s The Secret Millionaire programme. The main objective of the Cycle is to raise awareness of the considerable help and supports that are available for anyone battling depression, self harm, at risk of suicide or those bereaved by suicide.

The Cycle Against Suicide community is determined to let people in every corner of the island of Ireland know that; it’s OK not to feel OK and it’s absolutely OK to ask for help.

How Mullingar can help!

The Cycle Against Suicide shall arrive in Mullingar on Saturday May the 9th. Organisers of the race operates a Homestay programme that sees people from across the island of Ireland open up their homes to participants in the event, provide them with a warm meal, a chance to freshen up and a bed for the night. Our feedback has shown that this experience is just as rewarding for the hosts as it is for the guests. It’s a chance to lend your support in a very tangible way to Cycle Against Suicide without necessarily having to get on a bike.

If you would like to offer up Homestay accommodation for one night during the 2015 Cycle, please contact our coordinator at

This year we are offering three different types of registration: – (1) Cycling one day, (2) Cycling between two and seven days, and (3) Cycling between eight and fourteen days.  Each option is priced differently.
