Nepal and its people need our help, both with dealing with the immediate crisis and rebuilding their community in the aftermath of this disaster. Brian Fagan and Goal have organised a central fund to bring relief to the crisis struck areas. They have a team on the ground in Kathmandu and are in the process of sending more relief workers to help deal with the disaster.

Kerrigan’s pub, Mullingar are kindly giving their premises and their service for free whilst Dunbia Meats, Kilbeggan have offered to sponsor their renowned top quality meat for the charity event. Tickets are €10 and everyone is welcome.

12/05/2015 – A second major earthquake struck eastern Nepal Tuesday morning at approx. 07.35am (Irish Time) two weeks after more than 8,170 people were killed in a devastating quake. The latest earthquake (measuring 7.4) hit near the town of Namche Bazar, close to Mount Everest. The latest tremor was felt as far away as the Indian capital Delhi, as well as Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, and has triggered an earthquake as far off as Indonesia measuring 5.4 according to early reports.
Strong tremors were felt in the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, which was badly damaged in last month’s earthquake.

” We would really appreciate all the support possible as this is an extremely worthy cause. We do not know how lucky we are here in Ireland until devastation such as this earth quake occurs in countries, which are not equipped to deal with the destruction, like Nepal. I am just recently back from trekking in Nepal myself and feel very strongly about doing all we can to help them. The people are one of the kindest and most humble in the world and have a great affinity to Irish people” stated one of the organisers Aideen Ginnell

All monies raised will go directly to shelter, food and medical relief. Please come along on Thursday and support. For further information on the event contact Aideen Ginnell on (087) 761 2832 or Brian Fagan on (087) 798 5889.
