How to Participate

  1. Decorate your business’ window
  2. Download the application form here –  Heart of Ireland Window Display Contest Application Form 2015 (PDF)
  3. Return your completed form (by email to info@heartofireland.ie) once your window is ready.

Rules and Regulations

  1. The Heart of Ireland Festival Window Display Contest is open to all businesses in Mullingar Town.
  2. Businesses that enter the contest must have their window display set and completed before July 6, 2015.
  3. Window displays must be maintained and remain in the business’ window until July 13th, 2015 with the conclusion of the Heart of Ireland Festival.
  4. Window displays must incorporate the Heart of Ireland Festival theme: “The Real Ireland” — in a fun and creative way to highlight our theme.
  5. Window displays must incorporate the Heart of Ireland sticker, available from Heart of Ireland Office.
  6. A panel of three judges will view the Streets and Windows from July 6th.
  7. Judges may decide not to award First Prize. The Judges decision is final.

Prizes/Awards

  1. There are two prizes – Best Street and Best Individual Window Display.
  2. The Winning Street will be awarded a double page spread in the Westmeath Examiner to promote their business, at a mutually agreeable date.
  3. The Winning Individual Business will be awarded a page in the Westmeath Examiner to promote their business, at a mutually agreeable date. The Individual Business does not have to be on the winning street.
  4. Award winners will be announced on Thursday July 9th. All applicants will be advised of time and location for the Award Ceremony.
