Additive Manufacturing Training Course

The course consists of 3 one day sessions (over October-November, in three locations) with the morning in an academic environment and the afternoon in an exemplar company setting (Partners include WIT, Sligo IT, IMR Additive Labs & others).

  • Day one, October 6th, 9.30 – 5.30: Design the part (IMR Additive Lab, Mullingar)
  • Day two, November 1st, 9.30 – 5.30: Print the part (Waterford IT)
  • Day three, November 17th, 9.30 – 5.30: Metrology and quality assurance (Sligo IT)

Each of the participants will be given the opportunity to design and print a part in order to practice the learnings from the course. The test piece will revolve around solving a particular challenge through additive manufacturing.

A significant number of Multinational and SME partners have already signed up to this process, so it should be an excellent opportunity for shared learning as well as the course material provided by the various academic and industrial instructors.
