DETE UPDATE Products containing UK flour

The FSAI had received queries regarding the placing of food products containing UK flour on the EU market and reviewed the pertinent EU legislation (Regulation 1925/2006 on the addition of vitamins and minerals to food and Regulation 1169/2011 on the provision of food information to consumers) as well as contacting the European Commission for input.

To note: The FSAI will engage with food businesses on this issue from a technical and food legislation perspective to work towards compliance.
Affected businesses are encouraged to engage with their suppliers to ensure that products are compliant with EU legislation.
