Failte Ireland Funding

Fáilte Ireland helps to support tourism industry growth in Ireland through the investment strategy, which underpins all their investment in tourism capital projects, including all grant schemes and strategic partnerships.

This investment fund, administered by Fáilte Ireland, supports tourism capital investment projects and initiatives by both the public and private sectors and helps them tap into the potential Ireland has as a world-class tourism destination.

Through this strategy, they aim to deliver genuinely innovative projects that will transform visitor experiences for Ireland’s target markets while supporting jobs in the industry and protecting our natural environment.

Active Fáilte Ireland funding schemes

  • Outdoor Seating & Accessories for Tourism & Hospitality Business – Providing support to individual hospitality and tourism businesses towards the cost of equipment to provide additional outdoor seating and facilitate individual businesses to increase their outdoor dining capacity for the summer of 2021. Find out more information here
  • Attractions and Activity Tourism Operators Business Continuity Scheme – Visitor attractions are one of the primary drivers of overseas tourism demand within Ireland. The restrictions on indoor venues and international travel means that 2021 will be a difficult year for the attractions sector and these businesses will remain extremely vulnerable. Similarly, although outdoor activity tourism operators have reopened, these providers are extremely seasonal and like attractions will be relying solely on the domestic market, shortening the season and the opportunity for revenue generation. The aim of Fáilte Ireland’s Attraction and Activity Operators Tourism Business Continuity Scheme is to provide financial support to strategic tourism businesses within these sectors which will contribute to their sustainability until the end of 2021. • Tourism Accommodation Providers Business Continuity Scheme – The accommodation sector supports tens of thousands of tourism jobs and provides considerable wider economic impact through facilitating tourism and local spend in a destination area. Fáilte Ireland recognises the extent of the financial and trading difficulties experienced by the sector since the onset of the COVID-19 crisis. Although many accommodation businesses have reopened since June 2, 2021, restrictions due to the ongoing pandemic continue to impose significant commercial constraints on the sector. The aim of Fáilte Ireland’s Tourism Accommodation Providers Business Continuity Scheme is to help enable these strategic tourism businesses to withstand the impact of COVID-19 in the short and medium-term by providing financial support which will contribute to their sustainability until the end of 2021. • Conference financial support schemes -Fáilte Ireland (the National Tourism Development Authority) has recently increased the Meet in Ireland Financial Support Fund as part of our COVID-19 Response Scheme.
