Mullingar Chamber wrote their letter of support for member Hammerlake Studios, one of the most exciting planning applications to be seen in the town and county in several years.
The application comprising an International Film Studio Campus, as incorporates, an international base for Headquarters Administration and Office space of 10,388 sqm, a 4 to 5 storey building; 4 no. Film/TV Sound studios in 2 no. blocks of 5,330 sqm and 5,068 sqm respectively; a workshop building for set and prop construction 5,142 sqm, an ESB substation 38 sqm, security office 10.5 sqm with associated barrier controlled entry system, all associated parking spaces, 278 no. car, 11 no. articulated truck, 7 no. motorhome & 50 no. cycle, internal road layouts, above and below ground services as includes for; the rerouting of the 38kV ESB underground cabling and associated amendments to the 110kV high voltage overhead line by means of a 110kV earth wire pole set relocation and associated works; on site wastewater pumping station, surface water attenuation area and flood compensation areas, solar photovoltaic panels at roof level to the office and workshop buildings, sedum roofs to office elements of the workshop and studio buildings; landscaping and boundary treatments and a new access road from the existing roundabout at the abovementioned location.
