Last week, Mullingar Chamber proudly unveiled the highly anticipated Mullingar Gift Card, marking a new chapter in supporting and promoting local businesses. The launch event, held at the Greville Arms Hotel on Friday, March 28th, was a resounding success, drawing a great crowd of local business owners and community members.
The event was formally opened by James Bourke, The President of Mullingar Chamber and Peter Burke, TD, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism, and Employment, who spoke about the importance of supporting local economies and strengthening the community through initiatives like the Mullingar Gift Card.
Guests enjoyed an insightful Q&A session led by Colin Munro & Mark Cunningham from Miconex, the experts behind the digital gift card platform. Their insights into the digital shift and its benefits for businesses were well-received by all in attendance.
The new digital gift card offers a seamless and modern way for customers to support Mullingar businesses, enhancing the shopping experience while keeping the money circulating within the local economy. Since its inception, the Mullingar Gift Voucher scheme has seen over €2.5 million sold, with €500,000 in sales recorded just last year alone. With the launch of the digital card, the Chamber is making it even easier for shoppers to contribute to their local businesses.
