Mullingar Pride
Description

Mullingar Pride was set up in September 2021 it is a volunteer-led, non-profit organisation creating and promoting a safe, positive and visible space for members of the LGBTQIA+ community in Mullingar and surrounding areas. We promote inclusion, diversity and equality echoing always that everyone is wanted and welcome.

Mullingar Pride was first launched in March 2022 with a summer program that featured a Legacy Exhibition which showcased many LGBTQIA+ people with connections to the Midlands and beyond. A Theatre evening which was held in the Greville Arms Hotel featuring authors, poets, actors and activists from the LGBTQIA+ community. Mullingar’s inaugural Pride Parade took place on July 16th 2022 the first in the town's history followed by a celebratory concert Werk! Fest in Belvedere House and Gardens. With many acts showcasing their amazing talents to a crowd of over 800. The event was hosted by Eastenders star Cheryl Fergison.
