Mullingar Shamrocks is one of the leading GAA clubs in Westmeath and is involved in promoting Gaelic football and Irish culture at all levels.  Since 1986, the club has won ten senior football county championships, the premier competition in Westmeath. The club’s last senior title was won in 2018, when St Loman's were beaten in the first all-Mullingar Westmeath senior final.
