Mergon International currently has a vacancy for a Mould Setter within Mergon International Plant 1 Engineering Team. Would be suitable for anyone interested in developing a technical career. The Role Reporting to the Senior Process Engineer in Plant 1, the mould setter will carry out mould changes in accordance with the Production Plan ensuring minimum downtime and optimum efficiency. This role will also include elements of process set-up and essential machine set-up. Duties will include: Carryout mould changes as required Trouble-shoot any processing problems Carry out basic maintenance on mould tools and process equipment Complete process control documentation Carry out mould and material trials as required Contribute to on-going improvement programmes Who we’re looking for? Leaving Certificate or equivalent, 3rd level NCEA Level 6 (Mechanical / plastics engineering) or equivalent preferable. Experience of injection and blow moulding, preferably but not essential as training will be provided. Demonstrating Technical ability will be a distinct advantage.
