JOB DESCRIPTION Writech Industrial Services Ltd. has expanded its service and maintenance business and is growing each year using detailed quality control and innovation. Writech Industrial Services Ltd., are looking to recruit a new electrical service technician for our service division. This division is responsible for all repair, service and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems throughout the island of Ireland, UK and occasionally Europe and other worldwide locations The Role: Our office/workshop is based in Mullingar Co. Westmeath but our service technicians attend site all over Ireland, UK, Europe and other worldwide destinations. Therefore it is required that our technicians stay away on average 10-12 nights per month. It is also required that the technician attend base before going to site and so must be within a commutable distance. This job is an immediate start with full training. 6 months’ probation is company policy. Ideal Candidate: This role is perfect for a person requiring a challenge and who is willing to learn. The successful candidate will work on mechanical piping systems. Experience in both would be a distinct advantage. The successful candidate will be servicing diesel engine driven fire pumps and experience servicing engines would be a distinct advantage. The ideal candidate will have experience filling out accurate paperwork/reports, be highly motivated and demonstrate a defined sense of urgency. The ideal candidate will be methodical in all areas of their work, have some computer/tablet skills and have experience in dealing with customers. A full driver’s Licence is required Fluency in English is essential for this role. Company vehicle, mobile phone and iPad provided. All our vehicles are GPS tracked. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintenance and inspection of pump units and alarm valve arrangements on site based on company’s standard operating procedures and in-house training. Fault finding and installation of control wiring systems and panels for the above. Stripping and overhauling of pumps and alarm valves. Fault finding and installation of pumps, engines and motors. Filling out of report for each visit to site on iPad. Compiling detailed work orders for items requiring repair on site.
