About our Event

Mullingar Chamber of Commerce are proud to present The Mullingar Chamber Awards 2022, a unique event to shine a spotlight on Mullingar and to celebrate the exciting future of the town. Recognising the innovation, talent, quality and entrepreneurial spirit of business and people in Mullingar – 4th November 2022 – Mullingar Park Hotel. Dress code is Smart Casual.  

Mullingar Chamber is the largest business representative group in the town of Mullingar, the Municipal District and County of Westmeath.  With over 200 members from all sectors of the economy and culture, our mission is to promote Mullingar as a place to live and work.  This objective is delivered by a board of 17 members and a full time office manager and assistant.  Our priorities range from selling over EUR300k of Mullingar Vouchers per annum, running the and #LoveMullingar campaign as well as supporting local strategic sites such as Columb Barracks, the National Science Park and IDA Ardmore.  We also liaise with all external stakeholders including Westmeath County Council, Enterprise Ireland, the IDA, Failte Ireland and others.  In the past two years we have grown by over 50%.

Mullingar Chamber Business Awards

The Mullingar Chamber Business Awards dinner will be held on Friday 4th November 2022 at the Mullingar Park Hotel kindly sponsored by The Ardonagh Group. 

Commencing with a drink’s reception at 6.30pm and music by Taobh na Mara followed by a welcome address from the President of Mullingar Chamber, John Geoghegan, we are thrilled to have Minister for Finance for Ireland, Paschal Donohoe, as guest speaker.  Following Minister Donohoe’s address, there will then be a small facilitated panel discussion around the topic of “Ireland After Brexit and Covid – The Opportunities and Challenges” which will include Minister Paschal Donohoe, Shane Keating [Chief Data Officer – Ardonagh Group], Ted Wright [CEO – Writech Industrial Services], Dr. Anne Cusack [Chair Midlands Region Economic Forum] and Elaine Dunne  [Regional & Sectoral Head of Business Banking PTSB] facilitated by our MC on the night, Joan Mulvihill.  Once the panel discussion concludes there will be a three-course meal with drinks served and then there will be an awards ceremony where 11 businesses will be presented with awards in various categories and the night will conclude with live music from local music legends the Cronin brothers band The Afters.

We also look forward to music from  the Cronin brothers band The Afters and might have some surprise guests on the night as well as a reflection on the huge success of Fleadh Cheoil 2022 in the town.  We would like to encourage as many members, friends and others to consider this as a very good night out and a moment of reflection and celebration for our town and county as Ireland moves to a new phase and embraces the challenges ahead.

Kate Fox

Kate is an experienced sales & media specialist with career spanning local radio, local print, regional radio and digital advertising. She has over 16 years of radio experience working with a mix of local & national clients in various industries with, strong on the ground knowledge of the Dublin/North East & North West areas.
Kate is working with iRadio for over 9 years now. She is a keen B2B networker and was Dublin Branch President of Network Ireland in 2013.
Kate also sits on the Board of SarahJenniferKnott foundation which raises awareness for Cancer of Unknown Primary, CUP. She helped set this up after they lost a good friend to CUP and realised there was limited support available in Ireland.

James Kiernan

James Kiernan is responsible for commercial and Chamber development in Chambers Ireland.

His main task is in the support of the Chamber network of 39 Chambers and for coordinating the commercial activities of the national Chamber.

James holds a degree in Management and Marketing and recently completed an MBA where he presented a dissertation on engaging sustainability for competitive advantage.
